Biography

Wilson is a musician, guitarist, singer and songwriter from West Yorkshire, UK. For the last 30 years, Wilson has been writing, recording and performing music. Starting in the 90's with his first band 'The Stand'. They played many gigs including shows at legendary Leeds venues 'The Duchess' and 'The Cockpit'.
After 'The Stand' ran its course, Wilson formed heavy rock band 'Down The Machine' in 2009, and signed with Ambicon Records in 2010. They recorded and released an album (Losing Faith), an EP (Let You In) and played numerous gigs and festivals, including Leeds Festival 2011 and Bingley Festival in 2012. During this time, Wilson began to pen his first solo acoustic album, taking influences from both rock and blues genres. Over the last few years, Wilson has played many solo gigs and festivals across the UK including 'The Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival', 'Home Farm Fest 2022' and supporting alternative rock band Toploader. His songs 'Cursing my name' and 'Serpentine' have also featured on Alan Raw's BBC Introducing Show. 2016 saw the release of his debut solo album 'Serpentine'. His second album 'Afraid of the World' was released in February 2019, the singles 'Demons', 'Sinner' and 'Break the Chains' have been played on radio stations all over the world from North Yorkshire to North Carolina. His third album 'Black Is The Sky' was released in 2022 and features the singles 'A Storm Is Coming', 'Broken Soul', 'Never Gonna Win', 'Rusting Away' and 'Wake Up Call'. His fourth album 'Force Of Nature' is out now and features the singles 'Alive in the Dying Light', 'Laying Low' and 'Will You Think About Me?'. |
